Google App Access Control

Google began enforcing controls for third party application/website access to Google data for Google Workspaces in the summer of 2023.

When you see a page similar to below, that’s the Google App Access showing that an administrator will need to go into your district’s Google Workspace Admin and permit that Chromebook app/website to access some additional level of data within your district’s Google Workspace.

When you see this, the site/app is not being web filtered by the Fortigate and/or another web filtering solution, like GoGuardian, it’s specifically Google needing configuration to allow this site to access your district’s Google Workspace data.

When you see something like this, please submit a support request to ask your district’s IT support to update this app’s Google Workspace App Access.
